Crimson Red
Gems15
Cheruvupakulu village of Munchingput mandal in Araku holds immense potential. It has been a ‘red truck’ village since 2013 – a coveted tag bestowed up on a village that consistently produces crimson red microlots. Back in 2014, half of the village’s coffee plots were severely damaged by the havoc caused by Hud Hud cyclone.
But that did not deter the farm or the farmer. Today, coffee farmers of Cheruvupakulu gather with humility to talk about this year’s harvest – 98% of which was crimson red! The coffee has remained exceptional in all ways – from the farm to yielding results in the cup after processing. Gems15 articulates the strength of Cheruvupakalu’s farm and farmers.
