Model Village Gangavaram

Tucked away in Araku is one of our model village Gangavaram. Being 47 kms away from Araku Coffee’s Central Processing Unit (or the CPU), it is one of the farthest villages. Due to poor road access, farmers must walk up to 5 kms on a narrow path to deliver their coffee cherries to the nearest truck collection point.
Despite the hardships, this has become a model village that contributes to almost half the coffee in Lot 16. A total of 7 farmer families tend to their well-manicured coffee plantations, where silver oak and indigenous trees provide shade and a supportive ecosystem for this very special coffee.
