Singarapu Sriramulu and wife Neelamma have tended to their coffee farm since the 1980s. Seasoned farmers in their own right, their journey took a transformative turn upon partnering with Naandi.
Supported by their family including three younger brothers and their son, the couple oversees five acres of coffee land. Dedicated training in regenerative farming made all the difference to their farm. From bio-inputs to control pest attacks to meticulous mulching and composting for soil enrichment, every aspect was reimagined. “We learnt how to keep adequate space between coffee bushes and among shade trees so that there is enough sunlight and air circulation. We also learnt that this helps in good lateral branch growth and avoids constriction of space which is invariably important for good flowering and fruit formation.”
Their dedication bore fruit with the coffee securing top spot in this year's auction. This layered brew boasts captivating notes of cinnamon, blueberries, passion fruit, whiskey and is complex and well balanced.
