Soil Speaks

GEMS 18143

This couple in their early 60s have dedicated their lives to their coffee plot - a sanctuary not just for coffee but also for mango, jamun, jackfruit, and Nilgiri trees and a home to majestic peacocks and lively parrots.

Six years ago, their coffee plot had a different story: the coffee bushes struggled with pale leaves and sparse cherries, and the soil could no longer provide what the coffee bushes required to thrive.

Naandi's carefully crafted compost, made in-house, changed the story. It rejuvenated the soil with its abundance of organic matter, strengthening their coffee bushes from the roots up. With every application, the earth became more fertile, microbial activity thrived, moisture retention increased, and the once-fragile bushes developed into lush greenery.

With fertile soil and thriving coffee bushes, the yield soared from last year, encouraging them to dream bigger about expanding their farm.
