Family Farming

Gems62

In a world of nuclear units, Pangi Nageswarrao’s family in village Yegu Gasarapalli preserves the sanctity of a traditional joint family. Under a large tamarind tree in the house, the family comes together to prep for the coffee season. From delicately weaving baskets to bring back harvested cherries to sorting and grading – the coffee they produce is infused with the spirit of the family’s dedication to produce quality bean.

Discipline is key for Nageswarrao & his family with each member tending to designated farm activities all throughout the year. The association with Araku’s coffee cooperative has ensured year-on-year profits and helped provide for their growing family.
