For years, she relied on traditional practices such as mulching around the coffee plants, enriching the soil, and picking only ripe cherries. Yet challenges from pest attacks often discouraged her efforts. In 2022, a neighbour’s word led her to Naandi. Thus began her plot’s transformation. Shifting from basic manuring to a more holistic and integrative coffee plot and soil health management practices, and thoughtful techniques such as shade control. Today, her harvest tells a story of progress—with more than double the quantity of Grade 1 cherries in just a year. But beyond numbers, it is her quiet determination that stands tall.
