Lot GEMS 18131: Cultivating Gold
Being a small coffee farmer in Araku does not always guarantee the returns one expects. Such was the case with this farmer till he joined Naandi four years ago. While he learned the art and science of growing quality coffee, it was Naandi's doorstep procurement and centralized processing that eased the pressure on him to process coffee.
Naandi's doorstep procurement ensured that his coffee was procured promptly, ensuring nothing was wasted.
Earning a premium for growing high-quality specialty coffee
allowed him to buy gold - a sign of family prosperity in this
region and also invest back into his coffee farm. He hopes to
expand his farm and encourages other farmers to adopt regenerative
agriculture practices.
